Posts tagged winter coats and some songs I wrote.

Morning Tumblr, thought I’d talk about a song song while trying out this new play button!

This song is called Alaska. Its inspired by the John Green book; “Looking For Alaska”. It was basically written about the scary notion of all rational thinking going out the window when someone leaves so unexpectedly.

In terms of relation to the content of the book, Our boy MilesĀ knew he could stretch his arms out and get his head around what happened, but its always a matter of process and activity.

Hope you Nerdfighters are into it! The whole EP tip-toes around a lot of the things discussed in that book, with some Bukowski references also. check it out, like my facebook page and don’t skip breakfast!

“I found myself a month or so down the river from an un-amicable split where I wasn’t left with many answers, I found myself excavating a little and I wrote four new songs. the content seemed to work with a more “night time” approach, rather than what I normally do. I took a lot of influence from The Horrible Crowes, and American Football, as well as the new Into It. Over It record and Springsteen’s Nebraska.”

Exif As “Young Lions” isn’t set to be released until March now, I’ve decided to put out a night-time EP called “Winter Coats, and Some Songs I Wrote”, which features a few songs I’ve been writing since the weather got colder. Here’s the artwork and track listing. share it about!1. Winter Coats2. Alaska3. [Untitled #1]4. Pebbles and Shells
The title was inspired by The Wonder Years’ Dan Campbell who put out a book of poems on No Sleep Records. The songs, which will be released next week on Bandcamp, have taken a night time approach from the usual folk/punk-influenced songs that have been put out. FFO: American Football/Owen, Into It. Over It, The Horrible Crowes.
